GISMO's virtual community is located at Yahoo! Groups. This site features bulletin boards, calendars and other collaboration tools described below:

GISMO Listserv - The message board is used as a general sounding board and can also be used to post job announcements and upcoming events. The board is linked to a listserv which allows messages to be sent to users' private mail boxes as well as the Yahoo! Groups board.

Calendar - The calendar lists upcoming GISMO meetings, outside conferences, courses and other GIS events. This link defaults to the monthly listing, but you can view events by day, week, month or year.

GISMO Meeting Minutes and Newsletters - The is area provides links to meeting minutes and news items posted since September 1999.

Member Directory - The member directory contains a list of GISMO members who have signed up for the listserv. Members have the option of posting additional information in their personal profile. A full Member directory can be obtained at GISMO General meetings.

The Yahoo! Groups forum also has areas where members can post links, share documents, create polls and other archiving functions. If you have an idea of how GISMO can use these features, or if you would like to be a Virtual GISMO volunteer, please contact Noreen Whysel.
